Kali-yuga means the age of quarrel and disagreement. The people of Kaliyug want peace yet they do not know the proper way to attain it. The process of achieving this peace The duty is to be the eternal servant of The Lord to go through this process of achieving this peace. “jiver swarup krishner nitya das……” [Chaitanya Charitamrita].
Sriman Mahaprabhu has told from scratch that there is only one path, that is, Harinama-Sankirtana which is the duty/religion of the era [Yuga-dharm]. For the beings of Kaliyug, there is no pain, no foundation of time in the chanting of Hare Krishna Mahamantra. He gave such an easy method that we can chant whenever we want, anytime, anywhere, there are no troublesome rules. If the living entities take advantage of this Harinama chanting then this Jivatma will be perfectly happy.
Another specialty in the character of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is that he did not deprive anyone of [Bhagvat-dharm on the basis of caste-religion, male-female, fallen, higher, etc. but distributed this Harinama Mahamantra equally to all. He with His intimate associates went door to door with mridangas, kartals (instruments used in kirtana) and preached and begged to chant Hare Krishna Mahamantra. “Balo Krishna, Bhajo Krishna, Karo Krishna Shikshaa….” ‘Chant Harinama and Be Happy’ was/is His only message.
According to the teachings of Sriman Mahaprabhuji who is the ‘milita tanu’ —- joined form of Sri Radha Krishna, one should do Harinam himself and preach to others also. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu wanted this Krishna consciousness movement to be spread all over the world. So we hope that you chant Harinama and get everyone to do the same. Introduction to The Universal Preacher: Our beloved Srila Saraswati Thakur.

Srila Prabhupada Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur is the fountainhead of the Bramha Madhva Goudiya Saraswata Vaishnava Sampradaya (Goudiya Vaishnava society) and his benefaction to the Goudiya Vaishnava world is immeasurable. After the disappearance pastime of Sri Gaura Hari—- Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and His eternal associates with the passage of time, the world started to become void of Harinama. At that time, having descended as a meritorious child of Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur (who is known as the seventh Goswami in the Goudiya Vaishnava society), through his shield of conduct and sword of adherence he manifested in his lifestyle Sriman Mahaprabhu’s words—[CB Antya-khaṇḍa 4.126]: “pṛthivīte āche yata nagarādi-grāma, sarvatra pracāra haibe mora nāma” and established, Sri Goudiya Math, the preaching centre of pure devotion to the Supreme Godhead Sri Krishna. So we have to accept this fact that if ‘The Goudiya Math’ would not have established then we fallen beings never could have known about the ‘pure bhakti’ because establishing the Goudiya Math Srila Prabhupada inducted unalloyed devotional virtuous conduct worldwide through his intimate disciples, one of them is mostly familiar especially in the western countries Srila B.V. Swami Maharaj [the founder Acharya of Iskcon], reformed the lost pilgrimage sites such as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s birthplace, brought into light ‘Sri Sri Gandharvika Giridhari’—- [Sri Chaitanya Goudiya Math’ deity’s name] deity service, published pure devotional works in various languages (book publications). By doing so he turned people who are devoid of Sri Bhagavana, towards serving Krishna by commencing Sri Harinama Sankirtana discourses or messages in the hearts of every living being. As he remained actively devoted while following “aprakita Krishner nitya seva” (exceptional eternal service of Krishna), just like that, while offering prostrated obeisances to Sri Jagat Guru-Srila Prabhupad Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur [Universal Preacher], I pray for his merciful blessings.
